This fixed-term position spans from October 13, 2026, to December 3, 2027. The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing, tracking, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations. A key part of the role involves reviewing transactions and providing accurate reports to facilitate decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform full cycle accounting for PLEA and related entities
• Develop and review budgets for various programs
• Supervise Finance staff and verify accuracy of their work
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payment processing
• Initiate process improvements and ensure compliance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Four years of relevant accounting experience
• Knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards
• Proficiency in Excel and computerized accounting systems
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Clearance
