We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious and established organization located mid-town Toronto along the subway line, currently seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with relevant experience from public accounting and/or industry.
Key responsibilities and oversight: Responsible for financial reporting and analysis for the multiple operating portfolios
Partner with operations on financial analysis, capital budgeting and quarterly forecasting
Preparation of quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports
Lead the analysis of results with a focus on improving the quality of information delivered
Liaise with external service providers for the preparation of quarterly reporting packages
Completion of period-end closing procedures including review of GL accounts for accuracy
Assess business impacts of changes to accounting standards under ASPE and IFRS




Participate in continuous improvement initiatives around processes and automation
Assist with ad-hoc investment performance reporting packages

The successful candidate will possess the following: 3+ years of progressive public accounting experience
Well-developed analytical skills and Excel proficiency
Strong accounting skills under ASPE and/or IFRS
Organized, flexible, detail and results oriented
High degree of professionalism and integrity
Effective communication skills at all levels
