Intermediate Software Support Specialist (5+ years) to deliver first-line technical assistance using radiology and medical imaging software Our healthcare technology client is seeking an Intermediate Software Support Specialist (5+ years) to deliver first-line technical assistance using radiology and medical imaging software.
Join a healthcare technology environment supporting specialized radiology and medical imaging platforms used by clinical and operational clients. This role focuses on software support, incident resolution, ticket management, documentation, and collaboration with QA and development teams to resolve technical issues. The position also supports AI-assisted operational workflows for troubleshooting, documentation, and ticket analysis. The team operates in a hybrid environment based out of downtown Calgary.
Must Haves 5+ years in application support , technical support , healthcare IT , radiology IT , or SaaS environments
Experience programming using SQL .
Troubleshooting , incident management , and resolution of complex technical issues across Windows , macOS , and Linux
Ticketing platforms and remote support tools for logging, monitoring, and resolving client issues
AI tools for documentation, ticket summarization, troubleshooting support, and reusable prompt development
Relevant tertiary education in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have Background supporting medical imaging workflows
Background in healthcare/radiology IT, general IT networking, Linux administration, ticketing systems, medical data standards (HL7, DICOM, and FHIR), familiarity with PACS/RIS clinical imaging systems, basic database querying (SQL), monitoring platforms (Zabbix and Grafana), and cloud infrastructure.
Exposure to radiology software environments
Open to new graduates with relevant technical training
Responsibilities Deliver first-line software support to clients through phone and email channels
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve software-related technical issues
Log, monitor, and manage customer tickets through to resolution
Escalate complex issues to internal development and QA teams
Create and update knowledge base articles, documentation, and user guides
Utilize AI tools to summarize issues, identify ticket patterns, and support troubleshooting activities
Stay current on software releases and platform feature updates
