Job Description We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to work within our technical operations group. As a key team member of the Technical Department within the mill, this position will initially be focused on our environmental treatment facility at Lake Utopia Paper where we operate the world's largest Anerobic Digester. The position is responsible to manage projects in the areas of product development, process improvement, cost control, and to support capital projects.

As a key team member of the Technical Department within the mill, this position will initially be focused on our environmental treatment facility at Lake Utopia Paper where we operate the world's largest Anerobic Digester. The position is responsible to manage projects in the areas of product development, process improvement, cost control, and to support capital projects.
Responsibilities Lead mill investigations, trials and improvement projects
Analyze process trends, interpreting data and proposing solutions.
Work to improve process, environmental and quality related initiatives.
Responsible for continuous improvement opportunities.
Communicate process changes all while adhering to and promoting safe work practices.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
Pulp and Paper industry experience
Demonstrated leadership ability
Well-developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Interest in a variety of business functions, such as Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Technical, Project Management and Safety
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Curiosity and persistence - you are a problem-solver with natural tendency to ask questions
Robust focus on safety and process improvement
Drive, initiative, teamwork
