As a Miner 2, you will play a critical role in the underground operations and report directly to the Underground Mine Supervisor. This position focuses on using bolting equipment to maintain safe working conditions while ensuring compliance with Agnico Eagle's values and strict safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate bolting machinery for underground support installation
• Identify hazardous conditions and initiate corrective measures
• Perform safety checks and operate equipment effectively
• Communicate with supervisors about progress and hazards
• Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of equipment
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 7 years of experience in underground mining
• 2 years operating bolting equipment like jacklegs and stopers
• Completion of required underground mining modules
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices
