Job Description
The Supervisor, Mobile Maintenance isresponsible for delivering sustainable and reliable mobile maintenance at Levack Mine. This includes supervising crews, managingresources, and promoting a safety-first culture.
All M agna Mining team members are expected to work collaboratively with others, lead the way in health and safety, act with honesty, integrity, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in pursuit of excellence.
Responsibilities:
Supervise dailymaintenance activities for mobile equipment (e.g., scoop trams, haul trucks,drills, bolters, and utility vehicles).
Monitor compliance with maintenance plans, mine plans, production targets, and safety standards.
Ensure safe workpractices are followed and that all workers comply with regulatory and companypolicies (OHSA, MTCU, WSIB, etc.).
Conduct daily pre-shiftsafety meetings, inspections, and workplace exams.
Assign tasks to crewmembers based on skills, qualifications, and maintenance priorities.
Report and investigateincidents, near misses, and hazards. Implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate recordsof shift activities, production data, equipment use, and timekeeping.
Communicate effectivelywith technical services, operations, and surface operations teams.
Ensure preventive andcorrective maintenance tasks are completed according to schedule.
Troubleshoot and resolveequipment issues to minimize downtime and support operational targets.
Collaborate with plannersand engineers to prioritize work orders, allocate resources, and improvemaintenance practices.
Monitor parts usage andensure adequate inventory levels in collaboration with the warehouse and supplychain teams.
Assign work, monitorprogress, and provide technical guidance to maintenance crews.
Recommend and implementimprovements to maintenance practices, equipment performance, and costefficiency.
Support theimplementation of new technologies, digital systems, and predictive maintenancepractices.
Requirements
Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents
Certified tradesperson - Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (HDET) or equivalent technical background.
7 ormore year of mobile maintenance experience
2 ormore years of experience in a leadership role.
Excellentleadership, communication and organization skills.
Soundknowledge of mobile maintenance standards.
Familiaritywith mining regulations, occupational health and safety practices and emergencyresponse.
Provenability to successfully lead teams in a dynamic and physically demandingenvironment.
Establishedanalytical and problem-solving skills.
