Join Mission Hill Elementary as a Primary Teacher for Grades 1 and 2, starting September 8, 2026. This temporary part-time role focuses on creating an inclusive and engaging classroom.

This position is for 0.2 FTE, effective until June 25, 2027. Candidates must hold a BC Teaching Certificate and demonstrate strong classroom management, instructional knowledge, and the ability to adapt lessons for diverse student needs. Ideal applicants will value First Nations language and culture and aim to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging lessons to Grade 1/2 students
• Differentiate instruction based on individual student needs
• Manage classroom behavior effectively
• Integrate technology in teaching and communication




• Collaborate with parents and colleagues for student support

Requirements:
• BC Teaching Certificate and eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service
• Degree in elementary education with primary education training
• Current ability to apply effective teaching strategies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of culturally responsive education practices
