Adecco is currently recruiting for a Contracts Advisor on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas client in Calgary, AB. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with potential for extension for a strategic and results-driven procurement professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic Supply Chain team.

As a Contracts Advisor , you will serve as a subject matter expert in service contracting , leading contract negotiations, supplier engagement, and sourcing initiatives that drive measurable cost savings, risk mitigation, and operational efficiencies.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop strategic sourcing solutions while managing the full contract lifecycle.

Shift: Monday to Friday | 8-hour shifts | 5 days onsite per week

Job type: Temporary | Full-time | one year contract

Pay: $70- $85/hr

Key Responsibilities

Identify cost reduction opportunities through market analysis, supplier collaboration, and spend management

Lead sourcing and contract negotiation activities from strategy development through contract execution

Apply data-driven insights to optimize commercial structures and service delivery models

Develop innovative contracting and negotiation strategies to improve business outcomes

Manage supplier performance, productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives

Support contract planning, contract administration, claims management, and warranty activities

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives

Balance cost efficiency, performance, and risk while delivering commercial value

Qualifications





5-7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, and commercial negotiations

Proven experience managing complex technical service contracts.

Strong background in contract drafting, negotiation, administration, and lifecycle management of service-based agreements

Hands-on SAP Ariba experience is required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience supporting Inspection, Testing, Crane Services, Engineering, Maintenance, or other technical services categories is considered a strong asset

Demonstrated success in supplier sourcing, commercial evaluations, contract strategy development, and supplier relationship management

Strong understanding of contracting models, commercial terms, risk mitigation strategies, and cost drivers in service environments

Experience with cost optimization, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis

Excellent analytical, financial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Experience using spend analytics and procurement systems to support sourcing decisions and contract performance monitoring

Ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, complex business environment
