Job Title: Integration and TDD Tester
Type: Permanent Full Time or 6 month contract (Permanent, full time is preferred)
Location: Oakville, ON
Starts: Jan 2012

The Integration and TDD Tester will be responsible for Functional and Unit functions. The Tester will partner with developers on a 1:5 ratio. Skills required consist of: C# Sharp, Java, .net, JDE, Unit test tools, JUnit, NUnit and any experience with continuous integration, automated test suites would be ideal.

The focus of these test developers is to participate in Pair Programming with the developers to alleviate the need for the developers to conduct all their own unit tests. They will be required to set up the test frameworks, write test cases/as well as work with the developers to write test cases. Technical tester will not just understand the business requirements and test against the requirements, but will also test for the technical aspects of the project in terms of creating tests for database interactions, for hardware optimization and the interaction with all devices, interaction with the workflow in terms of covering all states and transitions and performing stress/load testing and stabilizing benchmarks.

Roles and responsibilities

Work with development and test teams to test for functional, performance (load, stress, and longevity), smoke and sanity tests

Analyze test results, isolate performance issues and identify areas of optimization

Analyze product requirements, create test plans, and identify deliverables

Create and Execute automated test scripts and manual test scripts as needed, maintain the scripts and publish test results

Isolate problems, report bugs, regress and close defects

Create Benchmarks and Sizing models





Understand the architecture and the design of the software to add additional test cases into the test framework

Understand the tools and technologies that are in use

Create patch scripts that can be installed on top of latest releases.

Contribute to the overall quality in the life cycle of the product

Identify new approaches towards software deployment from development to QA environments for continuous code integration/deployment

Maintain QA environments and be able to do root cause analysis on defects

Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify software Versus Hardware defects and maintain
traceability

Job Requirements

Experience in a quick-paced organization with an excellent understanding of QA methodology

Experience in leading complex projects from test planning through production deployment

Programming experience with C #, Java , .Net, JDE, Unit test tools, JUnit, NUnit and experience with continuous integration, automated test suites would be ideal.

Programming skills are required (minimum of 2 years in one or more of these disciplines)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to document and track defects, as well as produce detailed reports using defect tracking tools

Good understanding of database concepts and MS SQL experience is required

Strong understanding with software development lifecycles is required

Must have a BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Team player, able to dealing with conflict, handling ambiguity and a quick learner

Familiarity with usability test planning and execution is desired

Agile experience is desired

Experience in a pharmacy/regulatory laws is desirable
