About the role
This role is in the R&D; Packaging Engineering team of the Access Solutions division. This group serves current product development projects through packaging system design and realization and supports existing product improvements to ensure patients continue being served. The engineer will work under limited supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified packaging, products, processes, and materials.

Work mode:At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

Fully participating in project teams to contribute the necessary technical work related to packaging and product design and development.

Technical analysis of medical device packaging systems and materials for new product development and existing products to ensure designs meet quality and regulatory standards.





Gather requirements from internal and external sources to accurately capture user needs and ensure products are meetingthem.

Investigate field related issues and perform root causeanalysis.

Generate engineering documentation (e.g.,DHF and DMR) in adherence to quality policies and systems.

May lead packaging specific initiatives to support new designs, materials, or process related issues.

Innovate and create new concepts and designs for products and submit inventiondisclosures.

Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System.

Demonstrate company values, work with integrity and be a supportive team member.

Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.

Other duties as required.

Required qualifications:

2+ years of related workexperience

Experience working within a quality management system and quality system controls (e.g. Design inputs/outputs, Verification/validation, etc.)

Strong oral and written communication skills, to communicate with individuals at various levels

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering strongly preferred

Experience working within medical device R&D; departments, with hands-on prototyping and testing

Knowledge of packaging materials including paperboard, corrugate, flexible packaging films, Tyvek, thermoformed trays, and manufacturing methods.

Familiarity with industry related standards (e.g. ISO, ASTM, ASME, etc.) and their direct application

Experience with distribution and/or manufacturing

Minimum Salary: $59,900

Maximum Salary: $108,900

The anticipated compensation and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – seewww.bscbenefitsconnect.com --will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
