Support aquatic facility upkeep as a Building Service Worker II at Saanich Commonwealth Place. This hands-on casual role involves essential maintenance and operations of the pool area.

The District of Saanich is looking for five casual candidates for the Building Service Worker II roles at Saanich Commonwealth Place. You will ensure the swimming pool and recreation facilities operate safely and efficiently. This includes a mix of cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair tasks, ensuring records are kept up to date and assisting others on the team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safe and clean swimming pool environments
• Maintain and service pool water heating and filtration systems
• Complete custodial and preventative operational tasks




• Train seasonal and part time staff as necessary
• Document equipment maintenance and operation details

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 11 or equivalent
• Pool Operators I and II certification required
• Valid WHMIS certification within one year
• Occupational First Aid Level I as needed
• 3 to 6 months related experience needed

Participate in creating a healthy, welcoming space at Saanich Commonwealth Place within the Building Service Worker II role.
