Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a senior Data Engineer / Data-focused Software Developer to support a large-scale data modernization journey for a leading enterprise organization. This person will play a key role in helping the business evolve from traditional BI and reporting practices toward a modern cloud-based analytics ecosystem, leveraging technologies such as GCP, Looker, Power BI, GitHub, and CI/CD. Beyond the technical skillset, we are looking for someone with strong emotional intelligence who can build relationships, influence stakeholders, drive adoption of recent tools and processes, and help bridge the gap between business and technology teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern data platforms, Agile delivery, data quality initiatives, and enterprise transformation programs, with exposure to SAP migrations considered a strong asset.

Skills and Requirements
7+ years of strong Software Development and/or Data Engineering background

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other clouds

Experience with Looker and up-to-date analytics platforms

Experience implementing or supporting Data Quality Frameworks (DQF)

GitHub and CI/CD experience

Strong Agile experience

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience operating in enterprise environments

Strong emotional intelligence

Personality / Soft Skills / High emotional intelligence

Ability to influence without authority

Strong stakeholder management skills

Someone who has actually worked in Agile environments and understands delivery, prioritization, and communication

Looking for practical Agile experience versus someone who simply knows Scrum terminology ERP systems experience

SAP migration experience
