Job Description About the Team: DevSecOps Enabling Products is a new product group under the DSO umbrella focused on delivering tooling and integrations to support all colleagues in Platforms & Technology. The Developer Portal pod sits within this group and is responsible for development and delivery of the TD Developer Portal, our internal developer platform (IDP) based on Backstage. The Portal aims to provide integration, visibility, and self-service for developers and engineers to accelerate their work while providing a legendary developer experience. We're looking for a software engineer to support development on the Portal and help us deliver exciting new features, defect fixes, and application maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have working technical knowledge on React/NodeJS application development, PostgreSQL database management, and experience with both frontend and backend application architecture. Additionally, they'll understand basic CI/CD pipeline flows via GitHub actions as we seek to strengthen our build and testing automation.
Job Requirements Development and release of features/fixes for the TD Developer Portal
Perform standard QE and testing coverage for their contributed code and features
Build and test CI/CD automation via GitHub actions and scripting
Maintain product and process documentation for the development team and customers
Represent the team with tact and enthusiasm to both customers and stakeholders alike
Enable collaboration with other pods in the Product Family and other teams within P&T; to ensure a high-quality and high-value product
Understand and manage data models, SQL queries,



and configuration for PostgreSQL databases
Follow industry best practices for development and security while adhering to the TD Secure Software Development Lifecycle guidelines
Experience and Education College diploma or university undergraduate/master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant technical specialty 3-5 years experience with software development, architecture, or engineering
Relevant Technical Skills Proficiency with NodeJS, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, or other modern JS frameworks
Proficiency in source code management (SCM) via Git, SCM Platforms such as GitHub, and SCM best practices including ticketing, code review, and branching strategies
Experience in architecting and building secure RESTful APIs and swagger documentation
Experience in creating, maintaining, and using continuous integration and deployment pipelines via GitHub Actions
Experience in managing PostgreSQL or MSSQL databases and crafting SQL queries
Experience in agile methodologies with hands-on experience in kanban flows and ceremonies
Bonus for working experience with Bonus for working experience with SAML/OAuth/OIDC authentication flows and user identity providers such as AD and Entra
Bonus for working experience with containerized build and deployment environments
Bonus for working experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation
