Job Description Inspect andtest mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
Adjust,repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
Repair orreplace mechanical units or components
Test andadjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
Performscheduled maintenance service
Test andadjust units to specifications
Advisecustomers on work performed and future repair requirements
Completereports to record problems and work performed
Coach andinstruct apprentices




Requirements Must have aminimum of 5 years or more of experience as Automotive Mechanic.
Must have area ofspecialization in engine repair and diesel engines
Must have dieselengine repair specialization and major internal engine repairs or overhaul.
Must have a criminalrecord check and driving record check (abstract).
Must have owntransportation and a valid driver's licence.
Must be willing towork in a quick-paced environment, with hand-eye co-ordination, attention todetail, manual dexterity, and standing for extended periods.
Must have own toolsand steel-toed safety boots.
Must have accuracy,client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent writtencommunication, judgement, reliability, and be a team player.
Must have anAutomotive Service Technician Trade Certification
