This is a unique opportunity for a safety skilled to join the HSER team for a 12-month term, working a two-week on/two-week off schedule. You'll leverage five years of relevant safety experience in the mining sector to ensure compliance with the HSER Management System and promote a culture of safety. Collaborate with peers on various strategic initiatives aimed at transforming the current operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Represent VNL at regulatory and industry association forums
• Manage HSER audits and compliance checks




• Develop and initiate HSER planning and budgeting strategies
• Provide mentorship on safety compliance
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of site practices

Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in a safety-related field necessary
• Minimum of five years of safety experience required
• Technical certification in Occupational Health & Safety
• Familiarity with Newfoundland and Labrador's OH&S; regulations
• Effective time management skills required
