Solutions Architect – Datacenter Infrastructure and Cloud

Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect specializing in Datacenter Infrastructure and Cloud to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing datacenter and cloud infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of modern IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Architecture:

- Develop comprehensive architectural solutions for datacenter infrastructure and cloud services to meet business and technical requirements.
- Create detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and implementation plans.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of datacenter and cloud infrastructure.

Implementation and Deployment:
- Lead the implementation of datacenter and cloud solutions, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Oversee the deployment of infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.

Optimization and Management:
- Optimize datacenter and cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Monitor and manage the health, performance, and security of datacenter and cloud environments.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.

Security and Compliance:
- Ensure datacenter and cloud infrastructure complies with security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Implement security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls to protect data and systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:




- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in datacenter and cloud computing.
- Propose and implement creative solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead automation and orchestration initiatives to streamline operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal teams and external partners.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications:

Mandatory:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture.
- At least one certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.

Preferred:

- Proven experience in designing and implementing datacenter solutions.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with storage and backup solutions (e.g., Dell PowerMax, Data Domain) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and Unix/Linux systems (e.g., RHEL, Solaris).
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and network security.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Certifications such as CCIE, TOGAF, CISSP, or ITIL are advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in high-stakes or healthcare-related projects is a plus.
