APEL Extrusions is an independent extruder, finisher, and fabricator of aluminum extrusions serving the commercial, residential, and industrial markets throughout Western Canada and the Western United States. With headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, and facilities in Coburg, Oregon and Phoenix, Arizona, APEL is a fully integrated aluminum extruder with six extrusion presses and a full range of finishing capabilities, employing approximately 300 people across North America.
At APEL, safety is more than a program, its a core value. We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our health, safety, environmental, and compliance programs while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving APELs health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance programs. This role partners closely with leaders across the organization to reduce workplace risk, ensure legislative compliance, strengthen employee engagement, and support sustainable manufacturing practices.
The successful candidate will be a visible leader on the production floor who builds strong relationships, coaches leaders, drives accountability, and champions continuous improvement in workplace health, safety, and environmental performance.

Exposed to a production setting which includes noise, moving machinery, forklifts and fluctuations in temperature.
