Position: Intermediate Systems Testing / QA Specialist

Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Intermediate Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support testing, quality assurance, and validation activities for large-scale business-critical applications within a complex enterprise environment.

The successful consultant will play a key role in planning, executing, and coordinating testing activities across multiple project streams. This role requires strong expertise in manual testing, test planning, data reconciliation, accessibility testing, defect management, business process validation, and testing of both custom-developed and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions.

Scope

Develop and maintain testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and expected results.

Execute functional, integration, system, regression, accessibility, and user acceptance testing activities.

Perform data analysis, data validation, data conversion testing, and reconciliation activities.

Validate business rules, workflows, images, and data-intensive applications that undergo significant annual changes.

Assignment Deliverables

Comprehensive testing strategies and test plans.

Detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data.

Functional, integration, system, regression, accessibility, performance, and user acceptance testing results.

Data reconciliation and validation reports.

Expertise Required

Must Have:





Proven experience leading and executing manual testing activities for large, complex, business-critical systems.

Demonstrated experience performing data reconciliation, validation, cleansing, and conversion testing.

Experience developing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and expected results for complex enterprise applications.

Experience establishing test strategies for systems containing highly agile data, rules, workflows, and image-based content.

Experience executing functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.

Experience performing accessibility testing in accordance with AODA and WCAG 2.0 AA requirements.

Hands-on experience testing web-based three-tier applications.

Strong experience using testing and defect management tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, ALM, and Micro Focus Product Suite.

Experience testing both custom-developed applications and COTS implementations, including IBM J-Rules Engine.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Oracle database tools and backend data validation.

Familiarity with automated testing tools, Selenium, Postman, TestComplete, or similar technologies.
