Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Applications Architect to provide architecture leadership and technical direction for large-scale enterprise digital transformation initiatives within a complex public sector setting. The successful consultant will lead application architecture strategy, cloud transformation initiatives, microservices adoption, container-based solution delivery, enterprise integration, and cloud-native application design.

This role requires extensive expertise in public cloud technologies, enterprise architecture cloud security, DevOps practices, hybrid deployments, container platforms, and large-scale enterprise solution delivery.

Scope

Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid architecture solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

Provide architecture leadership for microservice-based and containerized application platforms.

Define target-state architecture, integration architecture, and solution roadmaps.

Develop and maintain architecture artifacts, standards, frameworks, and technical guidance.

Assignment Deliverables

Application Architecture and Solution Architecture artifacts.

Cloud Architecture and Hybrid Deployment Designs.

Microservices and Container Platform Architecture Documentation.

Technology Roadmaps and Target State Architecture (TSA) Deliverables.

Expertise Required

Must Have:





Extensive experience designing and implementing solutions utilizing public cloud technologies including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), with Azure preferred.

Demonstrated leadership in microservice architecture and containerized solution delivery.

Proven experience designing and securing cloud-based workloads and enterprise cloud platforms.

Experience architecting hybrid deployment solutions spanning on-premises environments and multiple cloud providers.

Experience designing and delivering solutions utilizing microservice architecture on container platforms.

Extensive experience with Tanzu (formerly Pivotal Cloud Foundry) architecture and solution delivery.

Strong background leading large-scale technology initiatives utilizing shared platforms and integrated enterprise solutions.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of GO-ITS standards and enterprise architecture frameworks.

Experience supporting digital transformation and cloud modernization initiatives.

Experience with accessibility requirements and AODA compliance considerations.
