A reputable General Contractor specializing in interior institutional projects is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee upcoming school renovation and fit-out projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing in office activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and coordinating trades and schedules to deliver projects efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and hands-on experience running interior or renovation-type builds within the institutional or educational sector.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations for interior institutional (school) projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and materials to maintain project timelines
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code and company standards
- Conduct quality checks and maintain a clean, organized site
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on scheduling, documentation, and issue resolution
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent on interior or institutional renovation projects
- Proven track record managing school or similar public-sector interiors
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and scheduling skills
- Solid understanding of Ontario Building Code and construction safety requirements
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel within the West GTA region
