Now Hiring: Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Complete inspections and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Alberta safety standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential mechanical concerns.
- Maintain accurate service records and work orders.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs as required.
- Work independently and as part of a team to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications

- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate (Alberta) or Red Seal Certification required.




- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and air brakes.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 or Class 3 with air brake endorsement is considered an asset).
- CVIP License is considered an asset but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
