SCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Weekend, Rotation, Other, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:
The successful candidate belongs to a dynamic and essential team. This person contributes to providing high-quality, healthy and nutritious meals to Vitalité Health Network's clients. Under the supervision of the manager or their delegate, this person works accurately under pressure within a fast-paced working environment. The successful candidate is organized. They communicate well and clearly. They have leadership skills and work equally well on a team and independently. Their main duties are to oversee and participate in food preparation in accordance with the Network's standards, policies and procedures as well as the provincial laws. Without being limited to this, the list of tasks and responsibilities of the position is available in the job description from the department and/or in the Cook (2004) Provincial Classification Specifications.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Provincial Certificate of Qualification issued under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act as a licensed cook, or Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification issued under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act as a licensed cook (red seal);
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
