The Opportunity:
The Saskatchewan Firearms Office is seeking one (1) skilled and capable leader for the position of Firearms Officer Supervisor (Sergeant) in Saskatoon.
The mandate of the Saskatchewan Firearms Office (SFO) is to administer the Firearms Act (Canada) and ensure the protected and properly regulated ownership, purchase, movement, and use of firearms within the province. As a Firearms Officer Supervisor (Sergeant), you will provide leadership and oversight to a team of Firearms Officers, ensuring a high standard of service delivery and compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
You will work closely with law enforcement, municipal and provincial agencies, businesses, and community organizations,
offering guidance and expertise on firearms practices and protocols.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Firearms Officer, the Sergeant will be instrumental in fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. This position requires a proactive approach to coaching and mentoring staff, as well as a commitment to enhancing operational efficiency through continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will be an accountable, results-orientated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
