About the Role

Reporting to the President and CEO, the Manager, Finance & Corporate Services provides leadership across financial management, administration, compliance, and corporate support functions. The position oversees financial reporting and planning, funding and regulatory compliance, payroll and HR administration, corporate records, and office operations, while providing financial insight to support organizational and Board decision-making.

The successful candidate will bring strong financial expertise, sound judgment, initiative, and practical, solutions-oriented approach to strengthening systems, processes, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Finance, Reporting and Compliance

- Oversee day-to-day financial administration, cash management, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports, providing advice to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Manage financial reporting and compliance requirements for government grants, contribution agreements, and contracts.
- Coordinate audits, year-end activities, and financial reviews.
- Monitor investments, financial commitments, contracts, and organizational financial risks.

Corporate & Organizational Support

- Provide financial and administrative information to the President and CEO, Board of Directors, and committees.
- Support corporate governance, risk management, compliance, and Board reporting.
- Maintain corporate and financial records and ensure appropriate documentation and controls.
- Support payroll,



perks, pension, employee records, recruitment, onboarding, and other HR administration.
- Oversee office administration, procurement, records management, facilities, technology, and administrative resources.

Process Improvement

- Evaluate and improve financial and administrative processes, systems, policies, and controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.
- Support the implementation and effective use of financial and administrative technology.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or financial management.
- CPA designation or progress toward designation is an asset.
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, payroll, and compliance.
- Experience with government-funded programs, not-for-profit organizations, or Board-governed organizations is an asset.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge and Skills

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency with Quick Books Online, Dext, and Plooto.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Share Point.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills,



with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement practical process improvements.
- Ability to learn and effectively use new technology and software systems.

- Employment: Full-time
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Work arrangement: In-office
