Technical Consultant – Enterprise Data Engineer (Geospatial Data & Platforms)
Help power mission-critical systems through enterprise data.Key Responsibilities
Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support mission-critical applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deploymentConfigure and maintain database environments, including backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategiesMonitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies (such as query optimization, indexing strategies)Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environmentsAutomate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiencyProvide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projectsRequirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANAFamiliarity with database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and securityScripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflowsExposure to geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems,
and spatial indexingAbility to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and non-technical project managers or customersUS citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibilityBachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM fieldExperience with ArcGIS Enterprise geodatabasesKnowledge of integrating GIS with other enterprise systemsCompTIA Security + certificationOne or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, Microsoft, Amazon, PostgreSQL, Oracle)Master`s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field#LI-SS2#LI-OnsiteEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare advantages: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
