JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Improvement & Performance Coordinator reports to and works under the direction and supervision of the Senior Manager, Professional Practice Office.
The Professional Practice Office (PPO) sits within the Department of Well-Being. The PPO is a core service which is responsible for advancing systems that improve professional practice, ensuring alignment with regulatory and practice standards, and supporting the development and maintenance of professional, clinical, quality and safety procedures across the department.
The Quality Improvement and Performance Coordinator is responsible for working with the Senior Manager of the Professional Practice Office to ensure the implementation and adherence to professional, practice, clinical, quality and competency standards and processes across SNGR.
The incumbent will support departmental quality improvement, accreditation and risk management activities through the development, maintenance and analysis of quality data systems and reporting tools and providing expert methodology support for quality improvement projects. This includes contributing to quality reporting, supporting the development of data tracking dashboards, and assisting with the monitoring of organizational risks, client incidents, and privacy incidents to inform continuous quality improvement and risk

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree or college diploma in Health Sciences, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Quality Management, Business Analytics, Public Administration, Information Management, Data Analytics, or another related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting quality improvement, performance measurement, accreditation, organizational reporting, quality systems administration or data analytics within a healthcare, community health, public sector or other regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience collecting, validating, analyzing and interpreting organizational performance data to support quality improvement and decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining dashboards, scorecards or other performance reporting tools using Microsoft Excel, Power BI or similar reporting software.

Quality Improvement and Performance Coordinator
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
The Quality Improvement and Performance Coordinator reports to and works under the direction and supervision of the Senior Manager, Professional Practice Office.

This includes contributing to quality reporting, supporting the development of data tracking dashboards, and assisting with the monitoring of organizational risks, client incidents, and privacy incidents to inform continuous quality improvement and risk mitigation strategies.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Functions
- Develop, maintain and enhance quality data tracking systems, dashboards and reporting tools to support organizational quality improvement, performance measurement and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Professional Practice Coordinator to audit Learning Management System (LMS) training data, identify compliance trends, training gaps and opportunities to improve organizational learning outcomes.
- Conduct regular audits of organizational quality indicators, documentation, training compliance and other performance measures to support quarterly quality reporting.
- Analyze quality, audit and performance data to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for continuous quality improvement.
- Support the Quality (Ęsadatgęhs) Committee Chair and Accreditation Lead in maintaining quality reporting systems and accreditation evidence tracking tools.
- Develop and maintain tools for reporting, monitoring and improving client safety incidents.
- Support the development and maintenance of privacy incident monitoring and reporting tools, including trend analysis and reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer.
- Provide expert methodology, project facilitation support and ongoing monitoring for departmental quality improvement initiatives.
- Support quality project leads with the identification and utilization of appropriate quality improvement, project management and change management tools and approaches.
- Assist with the preparation of departmental quality reports, as required.
Administrative Functions
- Coordinate the collection, validation and consolidation of quality, performance and audit data from multiple departmental sources.
- Collaborate with the Professional Practice Coordinator to review Learning Management System (LMS) audit data, identify trends, monitor training compliance and support organizational quality reporting.
- Maintain documentation related to quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, quality indicators and organizational performance measures.
- Monitor centralized tracking systems for client incidents, privacy incidents, quality improvement initiatives and organizational risks.
- Support the accreditation lead with the coordination and maintenance of accreditation evidence, quality documentation and organizational quality records.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of data collection tools, audit templates and reporting processes that improve consistency and accuracy of organizational reporting.
- Compile and maintain quality-related policies, guidance documents, procedures and supporting resources as required.
- Support the preparation of briefing materials, presentations and reports related to quality improvement, accreditation, risk management and organizational performance.
Communications Functions
- Engage teams and staff in updates, protocols, and adherence measures around Professional Practice standards and processes, and accreditation education/information
- Update Senior Manager,
PPO on relevant and emerging information relevant to professional practice acquired from networking, meetings, conferences
- Communicate audit findings, training compliance data and quality indicator performance to relevant stakeholders, including departmental leadership
- Support the dissemination of quarterly quality reporting outputs and monthly dashboard summaries
- Liaise with program areas to support understanding and use of dashboards, data tracking tools and reporting processes
Other Functions
- Participate in Quality (Ęsadatgęhs), Accreditation, and other relevant committees as directed, providing data, reporting support and technical input related to quality, training and risk management
- Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary within the purpose and scope of the position
- Attend Council meetings and workshops as directed
WORKING CONDITIONS:

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to the Senior Manager of the Professional Practice Office
- Provides service, support, advice and recommendations to the operational leaders (Executive Directors, Directors, Managers, Clinical Leads) around emerging risks
- Engages in professional and courteous interactions with all SNGR staff and stakeholders
- Supports the Quality (Ęsadatgęhs) Committee Chair in the coordination and maintenance of quality dashboards and reporting tools
- Liaise with Health & Safety Committee and health leaders regarding incident, risk (privacy) & training data
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Minimum Requirements
- University degree or college diploma in Health Sciences, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Quality Management, Business Analytics, Public Administration, Information Management, Data Analytics, or another related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting quality improvement, performance measurement, accreditation, organizational reporting, quality systems administration or data analytics within a healthcare, community health, public sector or other regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience collecting, validating, analyzing and interpreting organizational performance data to support quality improvement and decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining dashboards, scorecards or other performance reporting tools using Microsoft Excel, Power BI or similar reporting software.
Other Related Skills:
- Ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, work independently and cope with many competing demands
- Demonstrated experience conducting audits, analyzing findings and preparing reports that identify trends, risks and opportunities for organizational improvement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, performance measurement frameworks and continuous quality improvement principles.
- Experience supporting accreditation activities, organizational compliance monitoring or quality assurance initiatives is preferred.
- Experience supporting incident reporting, organizational risk management or privacy monitoring processes is considered an asset.
- Experience working with organizational information systems (including Learning Management Systems, Electronic Medical Records or other enterprise information systems) to support reporting and performance monitoring is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately gather, reconcile, interpret and present complex information for senior leadership and committees.
- Robust analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

IMPACT OF ERROR: Errors in judgement and in the conduct of duties could lead to loss credibility, poor public relations, confusion, duplication of effort and misinformation resulting in negative impacts to the leadership team and SNGR. Errors in judgement could lead to embarrassment to SNGR, community and administration, loss of public confidence and unnecessary conflict leading to lack of trust and legal liability.
