What will you do?
- Assist in the execution of Regulatory Initiatives for WM and contribute to regular reporting efforts.
- Support the Director of Regulatory Initiatives in managing new and ongoing projects, including Risk Conduct & Culture and other WM risk initiatives.
- Participate in the development of project plans and assist in securing stakeholder buy-in for action plans.
- Support targeted ad hoc reviews through planning, execution, reporting, and analysis of high-risk issues, focusing on risks and root causes.
- Prepare reports as requested by management for senior executives, aiding in strategic decision-making.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, preferably in a program related to Business, Finance, Law, or Risk Management.
- Solid analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, challenging, and cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with multiple teams.
Nice-to-have
- Previous internship or work experience in financial services, regulatory affairs, or risk management.
- Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
- Basic understanding of the regulatory environment and key regulations impacting the financial services sector, such as anti-money laundering and consumer protection.
Please note:
In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:
- Be returning to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
