Job Overview

Our busy metal fabrication shop is looking for a dependable, skilled 2nd Year (or higher) Apprentice Welder or Journeyman Welder to join our production team. You will work on custom and structural fabrication projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW/SMAW (Stick) welding on carbon steel, structural components, stainless steel, aluminum, or thin-gauge metals.
- Read and interpret shop blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
- Fit, tack, and assemble metal parts accurately prior to final welding.
- Operate shop machinery safely (saws, grinders, ironworkers, and overhead cranes).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Actively registered as a 2nd Year Welder Apprentice or higher (Journeyman ticket is a strong asset).




- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working in a metal fabrication shop setting.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass an in-shop practical welding test.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
