Erinwood Ford is looking for an experienced 310S Licensed Automotive Technician with a strong background in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair to join our busy Service Department.
We are looking for a technician who enjoys diagnosing difficult electrical concerns, understands modern vehicle systems, and takes pride in accurately identifying and repairing problems right the first time.
Previous Ford dealership experience is strongly preferred.
The Opportunity
As our Electrical Diagnostic Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic, communication, and drivability concerns across modern Ford vehicles. You will work with a team of experienced technicians, service advisors, and parts professionals in a professional, well-equipped dealership environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex electrical and electronic concerns using factory scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Perform electrical circuit testing, wiring diagnosis, voltage drop testing, and component testing
- Diagnose CAN/network communication issues and module-related concerns
- Diagnose and repair starting, charging, lighting, HVAC, and accessory systems
- Perform accurate electrical troubleshooting using wiring diagrams and service information
- Program, configure, and replace vehicle modules as required
- Diagnose intermittent electrical concerns and difficult-to-find faults
- Complete repairs efficiently and accurately while maintaining manufacturer standards
- Document diagnostic findings and repairs clearly
- Work closely with Service Advisors and other technicians to resolve challenging concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Stay current with new vehicle technology, diagnostic procedures,
and Ford systems
Qualifications
- Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician License
- Strong electrical diagnostic and repair skills
- Experience diagnosing contemporary vehicle electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to confidently use scan tools, DVOMs, scopes, and other diagnostic equipment
- Robust ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to diagnose complex and intermittent electrical concerns
- Valid Ontario driver's license and clean driving record
- Own tools appropriate for the position
- Previous Ford dealership experience is preferred
- Ford electrical/electronics certifications or training are considered a strong asset

Pay: $44.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 100.0 per week
