Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated ABA Instructor Therapist to provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children in their homes.

The Instructor Therapist will work under the direction and clinical oversight of our supervising RBA/BCBA and will be responsible for implementing approved individualized treatment programs, collecting accurate data, documenting sessions, and communicating with the clinical team.

This position will begin part-time, with the opportunity for additional hours as our client caseload grows.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in clients’ homes and/or community settings.
- Implement individualized ABA programs and treatment plans as approved by the supervising RBA/BCBA.
- Follow established teaching procedures, behaviour-support strategies, prompting procedures, reinforcement systems, and data-collection protocols.
- Accurately collect and record program and behaviour data during sessions.
- Complete clear, objective, and professional session notes.
- Prepare therapy materials as required for client sessions.
- Communicate client progress, concerns, and relevant observations to the supervising clinical team.
- Participate in therapist training, competency checks, supervision, and clinical meetings as required.




- Implement feedback and program updates provided by the supervising RBA/BCBA.
- Maintain qualified and respectful communication with clients, families, supervisors, and other team members.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy requirements, including PHIPA.
- Follow all policies, procedures, safety requirements, and professional expectations of The Learning House Autism Services.
- Maintain consistent attendance and communicate promptly regarding scheduling or availability changes.
- Travel independently to assigned client locations.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:

- A diploma or degree in Behavioural Science, Autism & Behavioural Science, Psychology, Child and Youth Care, Early Childhood Education, Social Services, or a related field.
- Previous experience providing ABA services to children with autism and/or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of ABA principles and teaching strategies.
- Experience implementing skill-acquisition and behaviour-support programs is an asset.
- Strong data-collection and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in clients’ homes while following clinical direction.
- A professional, patient, compassionate, and reliable approach when working with children and families.

Requirements Successful candidates must have or be willing to obtain:





- Valid Ontario driver’s licence.
- Reliable, insured vehicle and ability to travel to client homes.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Relevant crisis-prevention/safe-management training is considered an asset.
- Reliable access to a smartphone and/or computer for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
