Accounting Manager – Space & Aerospace

Join a well-funded, high-growth space and aerospace company developing advanced launch technology. This is a hands-on opportunity to take ownership of the accounting function as the business transitions from outsourced accounting to a scalable in-house finance operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the full accounting cycle , including general ledger, month-end close, financial statements, AP and treasury.
- Build and implement accounting processes, policies, internal controls and AI-enabled workflows .
- Lead the transition of accounting activities from an external provider to an in-house function .
- Develop project and cost accounting , including cost allocation, timekeeping and program reporting.
- Support R&D; tax incentives, government funding,



cash-flow forecasting and multi-currency operations .

Requirements

- CPA designation with a minimum of 6 years' relevant accounting experience .
- Strong hands-on experience managing the full accounting cycle, month-end close and financial statements .
- Experience building accounting processes, workflows and controls in a high-growth or early-stage environment.
- Full-cycle accounts payable experience and professional use of AI tools within finance/accounting .
- Robust analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency ; ERP, project/cost accounting, R&D; tax incentives or manufacturing/aerospace experience are highly desirable.
