Overview

Our wellness studio is seeking a dedicated, passionate Registered Acupuncturist / Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to join our collaborative space on a flat monthly room-rent basis. This opportunity is perfect for an established practitioner looking to run their own business with total autonomy, or an ambitious professional looking to grow a dedicated client base in SE Calgary.

Acupuncture Treatment Room — $1,800/month

- Saturday, Sunday & Monday full day access
- Use the room for as many treatment hours as you choose on those available days
- No percentage taken from treatments
- Practitioner keeps 100% of their treatment revenue
- Monthly rent paid upfront 1st of every month
- Practitioner provides their own equipment and supplies (table/linens provided)
- Practitioner maintains their own professional licensing/insurance
- Practitioner manages their own clients, bookings and payments

Example: At $120 per treatment, the room gives you the flexibility to build your practice without giving up a percentage of your revenue. For example, at 5 clients per day across the three available days each week, that's approximately $7,200/month in gross treatment revenue, with your monthly room rental remaining fixed at $1,800. Contractor Requirements & Autonomy:

- Must be a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) or licensed Doctor of TCM (DTCM) in good standing with the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAAA).
- Must maintain active professional liability insurance.
- Complete Financial & Operational Freedom: You collect 100% of your service revenue directly from your clients. You set your own hours, manage your own schedule, dictate your pricing structure, and handle your own preferred booking/charting software (e.g., JaneApp).

Financial Structure:

- Rent: $1800/week
- No commission splits or hidden fees.

Responsibilities

- Perform acupuncture treatments using sterile, high-quality needles tailored to individual patient needs




- Assess patients’ health conditions through detailed consultations, including medical history and symptom evaluation
- Develop personalized treatment plans integrating TCM principles such as herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, and dietary advice
- Educate patients on self-care practices and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing health improvements
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and clinic standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care when necessary
- Uphold strict hygiene and safety protocols to ensure a safe treatment environment for all patients

Requirements

- Valid certification or license as an Acupuncturist or TCM Practitioner from a recognized authority
- Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical/wellness setting with minimum 2 years experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine
- Ability to perform precise needle techniques and adapt treatments based on individual assessments
- Demonstrated understanding of holistic health principles and patient-centered approaches
- Willingness to continue professional development and stay updated on industry best practices
