Advanced Care Paramedic (Casual Coverage – Event Medical Standby)

Location: Various local event sites throughout the city

Hines Health Services is seeking skilled and experienced Advanced Care Paramedics (ACPs) to provide casual medical standby coverage for community events throughout the city. This is an excellent chance for local ACPs looking to contribute their advanced clinical expertise in a flexible and impactful role.

As a key member of our Emergency Medical Team, you will deliver advanced onsite medical care to individuals experiencing injury or illness during events. You will assess, treat, and manage complex medical situations, initiate advanced interventions, and coordinate timely transport to medical facilities when required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide advanced emergency medical assessment, intervention, and stabilization onsite.
- Administer medications and perform advanced airway management and cardiac monitoring as needed.
- Maintain a high level of readiness to respond to medical emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with other emergency responders, event staff, and healthcare professionals.




- Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of medical incidents.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient care.

Qualifications: · Minimum 3 years’ experience in a First Aid/Occupational Health setting

· Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program

· Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics as an Advanced Care Paramedic

· Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support

· Current International Trauma Life Support (advanced)

· Valid unrestricted Class 4 Alberta Operator’s License, (please note a valid license does not include a Learner’s Permit or Graduated License)

· Current and clean Driver’s Abstract

· Current Standard Field Level Tickets, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSTS , Common Safety Orientation

· Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen

Pay: $48.00-$53.00 per hour

- ACLS Certification (preferred)
- ITLS Certification (preferred)
- Alberta College of Paramedics registration (required)
