About the job In this role, you will:

- Lead economic and policy research on electricity supply, demand, pricing, and market trends to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Analyze complex data and develop forecasts, models, and policy options to address emerging issues affecting Ontario's electricity sector.
- Provide strategic advice, briefing materials, and recommendations to senior management on electricity policy and planning matters.




- Collaborate with colleagues, government partners, industry representatives, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand diverse perspectives.
- Support the development of policies and initiatives that help ensure Ontario's electricity system remains reliable, affordable, and sustainable.

What you bring to the team

Quantitative Analysis and Modelling

You have experience with

- using quantitative analysis, forecasting methods, or modelling techniques to assess complex issues, identify trends, and support evidence-based recommendations.
- analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources to evaluate options, assess impacts, and provide strategic advice.

Policy Analysis and Development

You have experience with

- researching, analyzing, and developing policy options to address complex issues and support decision-making.
- assessing the impacts, risks, and trade-offs of policy proposals.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

You have experience with

- building cooperative relationships with stakeholders to exchange information, gather insights, and support policy or program objectives.
- communicating complex information and analysis clearly through briefing materials, presentations, and written reports.
- providing advice and responding to inquiries from a range of audiences, including senior leaders, partners, and external stakeholders.





Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

You have experience with

- analyzing complex information, identifying key issues, and developing practical solutions to support business or policy objectives.
- experience applying critical thinking and judgment to interpret data, assess competing priorities, and resolve complex challenges.

Electricity Market and Energy Sector Knowledge

You have knowledge of

- electricity markets, energy systems, or other complex and regulated sectors, and can apply this knowledge to support policy work.
