Job Skills / Requirements

The Advisor, Labour Relations is a key differentiator for PASS. The position is accountable for ensuring employees are supported in a manner consistent with best practices and the policies and procedures established by PASS's Corporate People & Culture Department. In addition to providing day-to-day labour relations support and ensuring compliance with multiple collective agreements within a complex multi-union environment across the Pacific region, the Advisor, Labour Relations is also responsible for the following functions:

- Provide expert guidance and support to managers on disciplinary matters, interpretation and application of collective agreements, grievance management, dispute resolution, and arbitration preparation across the Pacific Region.
- Communicate effectively with employees and management to identify issues, mitigate risk, and resolve workplace conflicts.
- Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, policy violations, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional departments to support operational and organizational objectives across the Pacific Region.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the collective agreement interpretation, legislative compliance and labour relations best practices, and support the organization's collective bargaining strategy.




- Deliver coaching and training programs on collective agreements, employee relations issues such as respectful workplace, conflict management, investigations and other topics as needed.
- Collaborate with People & Culture team on key issues, special projects and/or initiatives, as needed.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in labour relations, human resources, or related field.
- CPHR/CRHA designation is considered an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in labour relations or related field.
- Experience in collective bargaining, grievance procedures, and dispute resolution is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, regulations and employment law is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated strength in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong adaptability, with the flexibility to manage changing priorities and business needs.
- Ability to acquire Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) and eligibility for Federal Security Clearance.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other airports within the region as required.

Salary: $70,000 – $75,000

Work Location: This position is based at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
