This is a Part-Time Permanent Position - we are looking for year-round staff that can work part-time September to May, with the option of full-time hours May to September if that works with your schedule. This position will offer between 8-24 hours per week.

Are you passionate about animals and love working with children? Pawsitively Pets is looking for energetic, creative, and enthusiastic team members to join our hands-on animal education program! Our unique team includes a variety of rescued pets, and we are dedicated to providing them with a loving home while sharing our passion for animals with the community.

As a team member, you will:

- Deliver interactive animal presentations in classrooms, camps, after-school programs, parties, and events.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
- Inspire and educate children about animals through hands-on learning experiences.
- Assist in various aspects of our programs, including pet therapy visits and school presentations.
- Receive full training in animal care and handling.
- Present to groups of children with confidence, enthusiasm, and creativity.
- Must have a valid Class G driver's license and a reliable car for work-related travel (car allowance provided).

What We’re Looking For If you’re applying for this role, you should have:

- A strong love for animals and children.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- The ability to confidently engage with large groups.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and problem-solving mindset.
- The ability to work independently and manage stress effectively.
- A robust command of English (French is an asset but not required).
- The ability to lift 50 lbs.




- Ability to work at either of our Toronto locations – Midtown or Beaches site
- Availability to work WEEKENDS both Saturday and Sunday - shifts are booking based and scheduled between 8am - 9pm - generally 6-9 hours in length
- Available at least 1 weekday between the hours of 2pm – 9pm
- Must have a drivers license and your own reliable vehicle that you can use for your scheduled shifts.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum three years of experience working with children.
- Working towards or having completed a diploma/degree in an animal- or child-related field.
- Candidates who are still in school should be in their 3rd year + of their post-secondary education.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Successful completion of a vulnerable sector background check.
