About the Role:

The TGS Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate operation, maintenance, and calibration of Thermal Gas Sensors (TGS) used in various industrial and environmental monitoring applications.



This position is responsible for troubleshooting sensor systems, performing routine inspections, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal sensor performance. The technician will collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to support product development and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

By maintaining high standards of technical expertise and attention to detail, the TGS Technician contributes directly to the reliability and efficiency of gas detection systems. Ultimately, this role supports the organization's commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and technological innovation within the Canadian market.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Completion of a technical diploma or certificate in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with gas sensor technologies or industrial instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including sensor calibration and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety documentation.
- Valid work authorization to be employed in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience specifically with Thermal Gas Sensor (TGS) technology or similar gas detection systems.
- Certification in occupational health and safety or related compliance training.




- Familiarity with data acquisition software and sensor performance analytics.
- Previous experience working in an industrial or environmental monitoring setting.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.

Responsibilities:

- Perform installation, calibration, and maintenance of Thermal Gas Sensors and related equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company protocols.
- Conduct regular diagnostic tests and troubleshoot sensor malfunctions to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Document all maintenance activities, sensor performance data, and repair actions accurately in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and field service to support product improvements and customer requirements.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during all operational procedures and report any incidents or hazards immediately.

Skills: The TGS Technician utilizes technical skills daily to install, calibrate, and maintain complex gas sensor systems, ensuring their accuracy and reliability. Analytical skills are essential for diagnosing sensor issues and interpreting performance data to implement effective solutions. Communication skills facilitate collaboration with engineering teams and clear documentation of maintenance activities, which supports continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Attention to detail is critical when following safety protocols and performing exact calibrations to maintain sensor integrity. Additionally, adaptability and problem-solving skills enable the technician to respond efficiently to unexpected technical challenges in dynamic work environments.
