POSITION OVERVIEW

Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting a Pipefitter to work at our Shepard Shop ( 9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6) .

Pipefitter plays a vital role in mounting majors and assembling small-bore and large-bore piping systems according to drawings on various skidded packages. Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, work is completed by reading and interpreting P&IDs;, GA’s and Piping Specifications. Additionally, they may mentor apprentices for skill development.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice or Journeyperson Pipefitter




- 1-2 years of previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- A team player with good organizational skills and excellent communication skills

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):

ASSEMBLY

- Installation and placement of major equipment
- Installation and support of spooling
- Skid layout for small bore piping
- Fitting of the socket and screwed small bore pipe
- Read, interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID;'s, G.A.’s)
- Tack welding experience is an asset

SAFETY
- Maintain a safe work environment

- Team player with positive engagement
- Participate in project reviews with engineering & drafting
