Overview of Role and Responsibilities

Location: Victoria, BC (serving the Greater Victoria area) Wage: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour (depending on experience and certifications)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Arborist Foreman to lead our residential and commercial tree care crews. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on job sites, ensuring all safety protocols are met, and executing complex pruning, cabling, and removal operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Crew Leadership: Lead by example, create a safe and efficient work plan collaborating with coworkers, train ground and climbing personnel on job sites.

- Tree Operations: Perform spurless climbing, rigging, pruning, hedge trimming and safe removals.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce industry safety standards, perform safe work procedures, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with property owners to ensure job specifications are met and answer on-site questions.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 3+ years of progressive arboriculture experience with proven climbing and rigging skills.
- Certification: ISA Certified Arborist credential (or willing to obtain/challenge).

- Licensing: Valid BC Driver's License with a clean record (Airbrake endorsement an asset).
- Safety First: Strong understanding of ANSI A300 standards and WorkSafeBC regulations.
