About the RoleWe're looking for a driven, self-motivated Independent Sales Contractor to hunt for equipment consignments throughout the Calgary area and Southern Alberta. This is a pure hunting role: you'll be out finding equipment owners ready to sell — through auction or retail — and bringing that inventory into our sales channels. You'll work independently, building your own book of business and relationships, with the freedom and flexibility that comes with being a contractor.

This role offers some of the highest commission rates in the industry, with no cap on what you can earn — your income is a direct reflection of the business you bring in.

You'll work with a broad range of primarily used construction and industrial equipment, engaging with companies across equipment-related industries including equipment dealers, finance companies, rental companies, construction, mining, agriculture, transportation, utilities, and government.

Responsibilities

- Proactively source new consignment opportunities for auction and retail sale throughout Calgary and Southern Alberta
- Build a strong working knowledge of recent and used equipment across construction, rental, transportation, agriculture, material handling, and related sectors
- Establish and maintain relationships with equipment owners, decision makers,



and influencers throughout your territory
- Generate a consistent pipeline of sellers (and buyers, where applicable) to fill upcoming auctions and retail listings
- Consult with equipment owners on valuation and sales options to help them choose the right path to sale
- Prepare and deliver clear, professional proposals that demonstrate the value of consigning through Progressive Auctions and Equipment Sales
- Network through cold calling, referrals, social media outreach, direct outreach, and participation in industry shows, events, and associations
- Manage the relationship and transaction from first contact through to a completed sale, building a portfolio of repeat business
- Represent Progressive Auctions and Equipment Sales with professionalism and integrity in every customer interaction

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience, including outside/field sales, with a track record of proactive lead generation
- Self-starter who can manage their own schedule, territory, and pipeline with minimal oversight
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable with basic computer skills and standard sales/office applications
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel throughout the Calgary area and Southern Alberta
- Experience in the auction industry is considered a strong asset
- Background in equipment sales, equipment rental, business valuation/appraisal, or related fields is a plus

Compensation
- 100% commission-based — no base salary
