Responsibilities
- Responsible for the structural installation, assembly, and sub-assembly of aircraft systems, parts, and components within a project and/or assigned work area.
- Use technical data and instructions provided by the customer or aircraft manufacturer.
- Use jigs and position components based on PVA, engineering drawings, or any other materials provided by the Methods Department.
- Read and interpret blueprints or manufacturing documentation.
- Adapt work to different types of assemblies: large / small components.
- Set up and operate manual or automated machines and tools according to the work being performed.
- Assemble metal and/or composite parts according to the technical specifications provided by the customer:
- Install the required fasteners; drill holes; ensure the correct products are used for assembly (bolts,
solid or mechanical rivets, screws, or accessories used to secure, support, or suspend components and sub-assemblies).
- Ensure the correct products are used for assembly (sealants, bonding materials, corrosion protection, and paint).
- Ensure the conformity of assemblies with the manufacturing documentation.
- Inspect and verify installed units, parts, and equipment to ensure proper fit, performance, and compliance with the standards defined in the technical documentation.
- Meet quality standards and production targets.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Report any abnormalities or irregularities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Structural Assembler in the aerospace industry.
- Minimum DEP in Aircraft Structural Assembly or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Strong manual dexterity.
- Quick learner with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
