Overview

West-Tech Finishing Inc. is seeking a full-time, in office Assistant General Manager to support the daily operations of our Vaughan facility.

This position will work closely with the General Manager to coordinate departments, monitor operational performance, support employees, and help ensure the efficient and effective operation of the facility. The successful candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while supporting both day-to-day operations and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Support daily operations and department coordination.
- Prepare reports, schedules, meeting agendas, minutes, and action plans.
- Monitor performance targets, budgets, inventory, customer feedback, and operational issues.
- Assist with employee supervision, onboarding, training, and performance follow-up.
- Coordinate routine communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Help ensure company policies, safety requirements, procedures, and compliance tasks are followed.
- Handle routine customer and staff escalations.




- Act on behalf of the General Manager when required and within delegated authority.
- Track improvement initiatives and ensure action items are completed.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a supervisory, management, or operations role.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with ERP or production management systems is an asset.
- Familiarity with Nadcap requirements and quality systems is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Canada’s Controlled Goods Program and related compliance requirements is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated manufacturing sectors is an asset.

Employment Requirement The successful candidate will be required to complete and provide a satisfactory police background check as a condition of employment. Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
