Role Description The Assistant Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Surrey, BC. This position supports the Program Manager with day-to-day operations, including coordinating program activities, scheduling staff, and ensuring services are delivered effectively and in alignment with organizational policies. The role includes monitoring program outcomes, maintaining accurate documentation and reports, and assisting with budgeting and resource allocation.
The Assistant Program
Manager will collaborate with internal teams, community partners, and clients, help resolve operational issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of program services. This role may also involve training and supporting staff, participating in outreach and community engagement,
and helping to implement new initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to coordinate and manage program activities, including scheduling, task prioritization, and workflow organization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, clients, and community partners.
- Demonstrated capability in documentation, reporting, and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience in community services, social work, or non-profit program delivery is an asset.
- Competence in basic budgeting, resource allocation, and supporting operational decision-making.
- Proficiency with standard office software and tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
- Ability to work in office, handle multiple priorities, and respond effectively to changing needs.
- Relevant post-secondary education in social services, community development, or a related field is preferred.
