Limited is responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to customers across the multi-island state. The Company has a vacancy for an innovative and committed and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Assistant Operator (Cumberland).

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Operator, the Assistant Operator is responsible for the secure and efficient operation of generating units and associated auxiliary equipment at the Plant. The successful applicant will be required to monitor and inspect all generating equipment and auxiliaries and record operating parameters, adjust loading and shut down units as required,



report and record abnormalities as they occur and initiate corrective or preventive measures as dictated by the circumstances and perform related tasks as required.

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements

- A minimum of five CSEC/GCSE O ‘Levels including English Language and Mathematics and a related Science subject
- Successful completion of an Associate’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent at a Technical Institute
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a related mechanical or electrical field.
