Job Summary The Assistant to Faculty and Undergraduate Course Delivery provides administrative support to the School’s faculty members and undergraduate BSN program delivery with organization of course materials, course evaluations, and administrative tasks. This position coordinates and supports special projects and events as well as providing committee support (Curriculum and Evaluation) and support to the Administrative Officer.
This position acts as back up to the Office Manager & Assistant to the Director as required during absences and is key to operational support to ensure the effective functioning of the School.
This position requires a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, and independent judgment and contributes to a welcoming, culturally responsive, and student-focused environment within the School of Nursing.
Job Requirements
Experience:
This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to three years of administrative experience in a comparable office or academic setting, including experience handling confidential information and supporting multiple collaborators.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities

- Experience preparing meeting materials and recording minutes.
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
- Proficiency with computer applications (MS Office Suite, Adobe, and content management systems).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Familiarity with UVic systems, policies, procedures, or similar institutional environments is an asset.
Specialized knowledge/education Post-secondary coursework in administrative or related studies.
