PlayFit Centre – North Vancouver, Full-Time

PlayFit Centre is looking for a high-energy, motivated and outgoing person who loves working with kids and being active.

This is a unique full-time position combining assistant coaching, working with children, customer service and administration.

During our kids’ programs, you’ll be on the floor alongside our coaches, helping children exercise, participate in games and movement activities, and stay engaged.

Between classes and during quieter hours, you’ll support the day-to-day administration and operation of the Centre.

Your Role on the Floor

- Assist coaches during kids’ movement and fitness classes
- Demonstrate and help children with basic movements and exercises
- Encourage and motivate kids throughout activities
- Help children understand instructions and stay engaged
- Assist with games, circuits, obstacle courses and activity stations
- Help manage groups and transitions between activities
- Set up and reset equipment before and after classes
- Help maintain a fun, positive and safe environment
- Welcome and interact with children and parents
- Support camps, birthday parties and special events when required

You don’t need to be an experienced head coach. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with basic movement and exercise and, most importantly, is energetic, confident and genuinely enjoys working with kids. Administration & Centre Support

When you’re not assisting with classes, you’ll help with:

- Front desk and customer service
- Answering calls, emails and inquiries
- Registration and scheduling
- Trial-class bookings and follow-ups
- Attendance and member records




- Preparing the Centre for upcoming programs
- General administrative duties
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of PlayFit Centre

Experience Experience in youth sports, coaching, recreation, fitness, summer camps, after-school programs, childcare or working with children is highly valued.

A background in kinesiology, physical education, recreation, fitness or sport is an asset, but personality, energy and ability to connect with kids are especially important for this position.

Pay: $18.33-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
