Our financial services client is seeking a Associate Director, Technology Strategy and Innovation (10+ years) to drive Data and AI solutions using AI platforms, data analytics, SQL, and Python

Join a technology leadership team focused on accelerating business value through Data, AI, and emerging technologies within a large-scale financial services setting. This role partners with internal business leaders and technology teams to translate strategy into execution across AI adoption, innovation initiatives, and technology roadmaps. The position includes leadership responsibility for customer success and innovation teams while supporting enterprise AI and analytics initiatives.

The organization operates within a global investment and pension environment with broad cross-functional exposure.

Permanent, Toronto, 4 days/ week, Working Hours: EST

Must Haves

- 10+ years in technology leadership focused on data analytics and AI implementation

- SQL and Python working knowledge

- AI platforms , data platforms , and emerging technologies expertise

- Technology business partnering and influencing senior stakeholders on business-aligned technology outcomes

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (MBA, Technology) preferred

Nice to Have

- Experience across HR, Finance, or Real Estate/Public/Private Investments domains

- Advanced degree in MBA or Technology

- Build-versus-buy evaluation exposure for AI solutions

Responsibilities





- Act as a trusted advisor to internal business units on Data and AI initiatives

- Collaborate with business and technology teams to develop technology roadmaps for Data and AI solutions

- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to demonstrate customer value

- Lead and mentor customer success and innovation professionals

- Support the adoption of AI tools and AI-augmented workflows across the organization

- Assess the business impact of emerging technologies in data and analytics

- Perform research and competitive analysis for build-versus-buy AI solution recommendations
