For more information, please visit our website: northshorelaw.North Shore Law LLP is looking for a full-time Associate Lawyer Reporting to the Managing Partner and senior Family Law Partners, this role is responsible for managing a busy family law litigation practice while delivering exceptional client service. The successful candidate will independently manage files from beginning to end, appear in court, collaborate with colleagues on legal strategy, mentor junior team members,
and contribute to the continued growth of the firm's family law practice. Managing family law litigation files from intake through resolution
Providing strategic legal advice and exceptional client service
Drafting pleadings, affidavits, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents
Conducting legal research and developing litigation strategies
Mentoring junior lawyers, paralegals, and legal support staff
Building and maintaining a professional network while contributing to business development
Leveraging technology and modern legal practices to improve efficiency and client service Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB from an accredited law school member of the Law Society of British Columbia in good standing . 4 years of experience in family law litigation , including independently managing files from beginning to end and representing clients in court, will also be essential.
Experience mentoring junior lawyers, paralegals, or legal support staff
Strong legal drafting, research, and advocacy skills with excellent attention to detail A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to courts throughout the Lower Mainland as required As our ideal candidate, you will possess excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills that enable you to confidently manage complex litigation matters, develop effective legal strategies, and build lasting client relationships.
