Role Description The Assurance Associate is a full-time, in office role based in Mississauga, ON. This position is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of assurance engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients. Day-to-day tasks include performing substantive testing and analytical procedures, documenting work performed in accordance with professional standards, and identifying issues or variances for further investigation.

The Assurance

Associate will prepare working papers and draft financial statements, collaborate with senior team members to complete engagement deliverables,



and communicate with clients to obtain required information and clarify questions. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting and assurance standards, contributing to process improvements, and supporting the firm’s commitment to high-quality client service.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and assurance methodologies.
- Proficiency with accounting and audit software, spreadsheets, and general office productivity tools.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills to evaluate financial information.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; progress toward a CPA designation is an asset.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality in handling client information.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute positively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
