Responsibilities

- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform minor repairs, including filling dents or smoothing surfaces
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or panels safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency throughout the prep process
- Collaborate with technicians and painters to ensure all vehicles meet quality standards before painting
- Follow safety protocols when handling tools,



chemicals, and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries
- Inspect vehicles for damage or imperfections that require additional preparation or repair steps

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a auto body shops or automotive repair environments is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity of hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and surface preparation processes
- Experience working with automotive paint prep or refinishing is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid mechanic experience or related technical training is advantageous
